Announcing Pleiades Theatre’s production of Tyson’s Song with ASL on AR Glasses

Bryan and Tyson are two best friends out on their last boy's night out, but when the evening goes awry, the two Black men are compelled to examine their pasts, and the true bonds of their friendship. Tyson's Song examines the dominant thoughts surrounding Black masculinity, and mental health.

In a first for Toronto theatre, Pleiades Theatre is proud to offer Augmented Reality (AR) Glasses with ASL Interpretation videos. These glasses will provide ASL Interpretation videos overlaid on top of the action of the play allowing us to present the play and the ASL interpretation at the exact same time! There will only be 5 pairs of AR Glasses available at each show, so be sure to book your tickets ahead of time to ensure you reserve your pair!

Tyson's Song will run from April 24th to May 19th, with 8pm shows Wednesday to Saturday, a 2pm show on Saturdays, and 11am school matinees on Wednesdays (contingent on school bookings first)! All shows will be at the Factory Theatre in Toronto located at 125 Bathurst Street (Adelaide and Bathurst) and will be about 70 minutes long.

To buy tickets head over to Factorytheatre.ca and click the "Book Tickets" button. Select the times and dates you want to see the show and click "Book Now". Select the amount you wish to pay and the number of tickets you wish to purchase, scroll to the bottom of the price drop down and click "Continue". Click on "Checkout" on the next screen. Enter your email and click continue. Enter your first and last name and click "Continue". Then under "Additional Details" select please select “Yes I would like ASL AR Glasses”. Click "Continue" and complete the checkout process. You will receive an email confirming your AR Glasses booking along with the ticket booking once you have paid for your ticket.
